Property management group engages Modern Geosciences for new regulatory closure strategy at retail shopping center.

Modern Geosciences was asked to provide an alternate regulatory closure strategy by a property management company with a shopping center that had been in the regulatory closure process for over five years. Modern compiled the data into a comprehensive GIS database, conducted additional environmental due diligence efforts that had previously been overlooked and met with our client to help explain the options. Using the current regulatory program, more appropriate regulatory goals were developed that met site requirements. Closure included use of institutional controls, source remediation, vapor intrusion investigation and completion of public outreach efforts.
